15-Year-Old Boy Killed in Fremont Bicycle Accident at Hansen Avenue and Dutra Way
Fremont, California (July 15, 2021) – A teen has succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bike in Fremont last week, according to the Fremont police.
The accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 4, in the area of Hansen Avenue and Dutra Way.
Police said a 15-year-old Fremont boy was riding a bike in the area when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Fremont man.
Teen Dies in Fremont Bicycle Crash
The boy sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries earlier this week. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
