At Least 1 Sustains Head-Injuries in San Rafael Collision on Highway 101 near Interstate 580

San Rafael, California (July 15, 2021) – At least one person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday afternoon in San Rafael, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pileup was reported at around 5:48 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, just south of Interstate 580.
Authorities said three vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the motorists.
One person who suffered lacerations to the forehead and multiple abrasions to the face was taken to the hospital by Ross Valley Fire Department paramedics.
At least two other parties were possibly hospitalized with unknown injuries.
CHP officers are collecting more information to establish the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
