30-Year-Old Fountain Valley Man Killed in Anaheim Crash on Orange (57) Freeway near Ball Road

Anaheim, California (July 15, 2021) – A Fountain Valley man was killed after a sedan collided with a semi-truck Wednesday morning on a freeway in Anaheim, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened at around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, on the northbound side of Orange (57) Freeway, just north of Ball Road, between Ball and Lincoln Avenue.
CHP said the 30-year-old Fountain Valley man was driving a 2015 Toyota Corolla on the freeway when, for unknown reasons, he rear-ended a tractor-trailer truck near Ball Road.
57 Freeway Collision in Anaheim Kills One
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the truck did not suffer any injuries in the collision.
No other details about the accident were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
