1 Hospitalized after Willows Collision on Interstate 5 near County Road 20

Willows, California (July 14, 2021) – One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning following a traffic collision in Willows, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred at about 5:50 a.m. on Interstate 5, just south of County Road 20.
According to the CHP, a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling southbound on Interstate 5 when the driver made an unsafe lane change from the first lane into the second lane.
The Camaro then crashed into the trailer of another vehicle that was traveling in the second lane.
After the impact, the Camero drifted off the road and slammed into the center median before it flipped onto its roof.
Minor Injury Traffic Collision in Willows
The driver of the Camero, a 22-year-old Fresno resident, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Three occupants of the second vehicle were not injured.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
