Neel Sengupta ID’d as Juvenile Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Crash at Camden Avenue and Kooser Road
San Jose, California (July 13, 2021) – The juvenile who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday afternoon in San Jose has been identified as Neel Sengupta, 11, of San Jose, according to the Santa Clara County’s medical examiner’s office.
The crash happened near Camden Avenue and Kooser Road just after 5 p.m. on July 9.
Police said Sengupta was in the crosswalk walking across Camden Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle.

Sengupta was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the accident and police said the driver had a greenlight at the intersection.
The crash remains under investigation.
