1 Injured in Martinez Car Crash on Highway 4 near McEwen Road
Martinez, California (July 12, 2021) – At least one person was injured in a car accident in Martinez, Contra Costa, on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened along the westbound lanes of Highway 4 near McEwen Road at about 8:35 a.m.
Two vehicles are reported to have collided on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The firefighters who responded to the incident had to extricate one person who was trapped in the wreckage.
One person was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
