Woman Killed in Los Banos Pedestrian Accident on Volta Road near Highway 152
Los Banos, California (July 10, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in Los Banos, according to a California Highway Patrol press release.
The deadly crash was reported at around 2:22 p.m. Friday, July 9, on Volta Road, just north of Highway 152.
As per the release, the woman reportedly ran into the roadway and was hit by a 2019 International truck that was traveling on Volta Road.
Pedestrian Killed in Los Banos Accident
Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the International truck, who was unhurt, stopped at the scene after the crash. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the crash.
The collision remains under investigation.
