Santa Maria, California (July 9, 2021) – Four people were hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision that occurred in Santa Maria Thursday night.

The two-vehicle crash took place in the area of East Battles Road and South Miller Street at about 9:55 p.m.

The accident involved two vehicles that crashed at the Santa Maria intersection for reasons still under investigation.

Santa Maria 2-Vehicle Collision

A total of four unidentified people were hurt following the collision.

One person was airlifted to the Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, while the three others were taken to an area hospital by a ground ambulance.

The crash resulted in the closure of the intersection for an unknown time.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
