Charles Feezel Killed in Berkeley Pedestrian Accident on Telegraph Avenue

Berkeley, California (July 9, 2021) – The authorities are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that led to the death of a pedestrian in June in Berkeley.
According to Berkeley police, the accident happened on Telegraph Avenue between Webster Street and Ashby Avenue shortly after 9:35 p.m. June 14.
Police said Charles Franklin Feezel, 50, of Oakland, was lying down the street when he was hit by a vehicle.
The driver fled the scene after the accident and was last seen traveling northbound on Telegraph Avenue.

Feezel was transported to Highland Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on June 26.
Police said Feezel had a mental crisis and it may have led to him lying down the street.
The vehicle suspected to be involved in the accident was a dark-colored mid 90s sedan, probably a Nissan Altima. Authorities said the vehicle also had tinted windows.
The incident is under investigation.
