Paulie Cortez Killed in Bakersfield Collision on Interstate 5 near Stockdale Highway
Bakersfield, California (July 9, 2021) – Paulie Pryce Nunez Cortez, 21, of Tulare has been identified as the person who was killed in a fiery semi-truck accident last month in Bakersfield, according to the Kern County coroner’s office.
The accident happened at around 6:00 a.m. June 18, on northbound Interstate 5 near Stockdale Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Cortez was driving a vehicle that collided with a semi-truck for unknown reasons.
The vehicle Cortez was driving reportedly caught fire after the collision.

Cortez was killed in the accident.
The semi involved in the crash was hauling up to 40,000 pounds of solar panels at the time.
The crash is under investigation.
