Driver Hurt in Placer County Accident on Interstate 80 Freeway
Placer County, California (July 8, 2021) – One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Placer County Thursday afternoon.
The accident involving a semi-truck hauling large pieces of steel happened on the Interstate 80 near Magra and Secret Town roads at approximately 1:10 p.m. on July 8.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, a Chevrolet Equinox was struck by the big rig truck on the freeway for undetermined reasons.
Due to the impact, the Chevrolet was pushed off the roadway and went down an embankment and onto Magra and Secret Town roads.
Interstate 80 Freeway Collision
The Equinox driver sustained unspecified injuries and was taken to an area hospital for medication.
