52-Year-Old Woman Critically Hurt in Hit-And-Run Crash on Church Street and Bancroft Avenue in Oakland
Woman Injured in East Oakland Accident on Church Street and Bancroft Avenue
Oakland, California (June 30, 2021) – A woman sustained major injuries in a hit-and-run accident in East Oakland on Monday night, according to the police.
The incident occurred at Church Street and Bancroft Avenue near the Eastmont mall at around 10:16 p.m. June 28.
Police said a 52-year-old woman was walking north across Bancroft when she was struck by a black Volkswagen that had been going west on Bancroft and was making a U-turn on Church Street.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The involved driver fled from the scene after the accident.
There was no description of the driver.
The accident is under investigation.
