Rider Dies in Arvin Motorcycle Accident at Highway 243 and Tower Line Road
Kern County, California (June 28, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a collision with a car near Arvin in Kern County, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The fatal crash took place at around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, June 27 at the intersection of Highway 243 and Tower Line Road.
The CHP report states that a motorcycle was heading southbound on Tower Line Road when the rider failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with an SUV that was traveling eastbound on Highway 243.
The rider was thrown off the bike upon the impact.

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been disclosed pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The crash prompted the officers to temporarily close Highway 223 as they investigated the scene.
