2 Injured in Moss Landing Collision on Highway 1 near Jensen Road
Moss Landing, California (June 17, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a head-on collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Moss Landing, sending two people to the hospital.
The wreck occurred at around 1:15 p.m. on Highway 1, also known as Cabrillo Highway, just south of Jensen Road.
A white Range Rover and a Ford F-350 Dually pickup truck, partially loaded with strawberries, collided in the northbound lane of the highway.
The report said, for unknown reasons, the Range Rover crossed over the double-yellow line and hit the truck head-on. The vehicles were blocking both directions of the highway after the accident.
The crash resulted in major injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported both drivers to Natividad Medical Center in unknown conditions.
Both vehicles were towed away with major front-end damage.
CHP is investigating the wreck.
