Rider Injured in North Highlands Bicycle Accident on Madison Avenue
North Highlands, California (June 11, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in North Highlands, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at around 1:14 p.m. Thursday, June 10, in the 5221 block of Madison Avenue between Hemlock Street and Auburn Boulevard.
The bicyclist was hit by a vehicle for an undetermined reason on Madison Avenue, CHP said.
The bicycle rider suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
A section of Madison Avenue was blocked due to the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
