Shane Ramirez Killed in Pearblossom Pedestrian Accident on State Route 138

Pearblossom, California (June 10, 2021) – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified the 34-year-old Pearblossom man who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Pearblossom Monday night as Shane Ramirez.
The deadly crash happened on State Route 138 at about 9:35 p.m. on June 7.
Ramirez was hit by a westbound 2008 Saturn Aura while walking northbound across state Route 138 west of 121st Street East for undetermined reason.
The involved driver, 22-year-old Jerry Matthew Tate, told the police that he did not see Ramirez due to the poor lighting conditions.

Sadly, Shane Ramirez was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Matthew Tate remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the accident.
