Sheree Fishgold Killed in Highway 58 Crash near Broome Road in Tehachapi
Tehachapi, California (June 8, 2021) – Sheree Lee Fishgold, 62, of Tehachapi has been identified as the woman who was killed in a two-vehicle collision late Sunday night in Tehachapi, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported at around 11:15 p.m. Sunday, June 6, on Highway 58 near Broome Road.
A CHP officer attempted to pull over a vehicle in Barstow for a traffic stop but the driver failed to yield and made their way through Tehachapi.
The suspect reportedly got onto Highway 58 from Highway 202 and traveled westbound in the eastbound lane.
CHP said the suspect then collided with a vehicle traveling east on Highway 58 near Broome Road.
Sheree Fishgold Killed in Crash on Highway 58 in Tehachapi
According to the CHP, Fishgold was a passenger in the eastbound vehicle and died in the crash.
Both drivers were transported to nearby hospitals with major injuries.
A section of Highway 58 was blocked following the wreck.
The investigation is ongoing.
