2 San Diego Officers Among 3 Killed in San Ysidro Crash on Interstate 5 near Dairy Mart Road
San Ysidro, California (June 4, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday morning fiery wrong-way crash that killed three people, including two San Diego Police officers in San Ysidro.
The deadly accident transpired at about 10:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Dairy Mart Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, a car was headed northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 when it collided with an oncoming vehicle.
Following the collision, one of the vehicles reportedly caught fire.
3 Killed in San Ysidro Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 5
Three people died in the accident. Among the three killed in the accident were two San Diego Police officers.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
