Long Beach, California (June 4, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a Friday morning big rig accident in Long Beach, authorities said.

The deadly accident transpired at about 9:10 a.m. on the eastbound 91 Freeway at Cherry Avenue off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist collided with a big rig on the freeway for undetermined reasons.

Sadly, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
