Davis Accident on Interstate 80 Near Chilles Road Sends 2 to Hospital

Davis, California (June 4, 2021) – Two unidentified people were hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision in Davis on June 3, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP said the two-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 8 near Chilles Road.
Although it was not immediately established how the collision happened on the westbound side of the interstate, one of the automobiles overturned several times.
Two people were partially pinned in the wreckage upon the impact and had to be extricated by firefighters.
2 Hospitalized After 80 Freeway Crash
The two victims, whose identities were not revealed, were then rushed to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
