Gerardo Perez Killed in Oceanside Bicycle Accident on Oceanside Boulevard
Gerardo Perez ID’d as Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Oceanside Boulevard and Beverly Glen Drive in Oceanside

Oceanside, California (June 2, 2021) – Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died after being struck and killed by a vehicle last month in Oceanside as Gerardo Perez.
The deadly bicycle accident happened at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, May 22, in the area of Oceanside Boulevard and Beverly Glen Drive.
According to the report, Perez was riding a bicycle in the area when he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Oceanside Boulevard.
The vehicle then slammed into a street sign, utility box and tree.

First responders arrived at the scene and found Perez lying west of the intersection and unresponsive. Sadly, he was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene but was later arrested. The suspect, later identified as Rodolfo Pulido, 21, was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit-and-run causing death.
On Wednesday, Pulido pleaded not guilty to the charges and his bail has been set at $1 million bail.
The accident remains under investigation.
