Phelan, CA: Multi-Vehicle Wreck on Interstate 15
At Least 1 Injured in Phelan Collision on Barstow (15) Freeway near Highway 138
Phelan, California (May 29, 2021) – At least one person was injured Friday afternoon in an alleged hit-and-run collision in Phelan, authorities said.
The crash happened at around 4:45 p.m. Friday, May 28, on Barstow (15) Freeway near Highway 138.
According to the authorities, a white Toyota Corolla, a black Audi Q5 and a third vehicle collided on the northbound side of the freeway.
The Audi and Toyota became disabled near the center median following the wreck.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to the parties involved. The medics later determined that at least one person suffered injuries in the crash.
The driver of the third vehicle reportedly fled the scene after the crash. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.
The crash remains under investigation.
