Shafter, CA: Traffic Crash Involving Big Rig at W Lerdo Highway and Magnolia Avenue
Minor Injuries Sustained in Shafter Collision at W Lerdo Highway and Magnolia Avenue
Shafter, California (May 29, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a rollover crash involving a big rig that happened early Saturday morning in Shafter, resulting in minor injuries and leaving a house on fire.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at about 4:47 a.m. at the intersection of W Lerdo Highway and Magnolia Avenue.
As per the report, a semi-truck collided with another vehicle for unknown reasons. A PG&E pole was also downed, and a house near the scene caught fire following the crash.
The semi ended up overturned onto its side in the accident.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed that only minor injuries were sustained in the crash. The number of patients, however, remained unknown.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
