1 Hospitalized after South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash on Firestone Boulevard

South Los Angeles, California (May 27, 2021) – One person was hospitalized early Thursday morning after a hit-and-run accident in South Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at around 3:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Firestone Boulevard.
CHP said two vehicles collided for unknown reasons on Firestone Boulevard.
After the impact, one of the vehicles crashed into the front of a Shell gas station convenience store. The occupants of that vehicle fled the scene and have not been arrested.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found one person who sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the crash.
The patient was then transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. It was not immediately known whether the victim was inside the store or in the other vehicle.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
