Midway City, California (May 26, 2021) – Injuries were reported Sunday morning following an alleged hit-and-run collision in Midway City, the California Highway Patrol said.

The two-vehicle crash was reported shortly before 1:15 a.m., on May 23, along Newland Street.

It was not immediately established how the accident occurred in the morning hours.

At least one unidentified person sustained injuries following the crash.

One of the involved motorists did not stop to render aid and escaped the crash site.

The accident remains under investigation.
