Victoria McDaniel Arrested after Cottonwood Crash on Gas Point Road near Happy Valley Road
Cottonwood, California (May 26, 2021) – Victoria M. McDaniel, 27, was arrested after a Cottonwood hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist dead on Tuesday morning, according to the CHP.
The crash was reported at around 11:05 a.m. May 25, on Gas Point Road east of Happy Valley Road.
According to CHP, McDaniel was driving a 1998 red Dodge Ram pickup when she collided with a bicycle rider.
McDaniel fled from the scene after the incident.

The victim, who was not identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
McDaniel was later arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on charges of felony hit-and-run and misdemeanor manslaughter.
The crash is under investigation.
