Injuries Reported in Santa Cruz Crash at Laurel and Center Streets
Santa Cruz, California (May 26, 2021) – Injuries were reported in a collision involving a Santa Cruz police patrol SUV over the weekend, according to the authorities.
The accident occurred the weekend of May 22 and 23 in the area of Laurel and Center streets.
A man reportedly collided with the patrol vehicle for unknown reasons.
Police Officer Injured in Santa Cruz DUI Crash
The officer was injured but was able to get out and help the parties in the second vehicle.
The driver who collided with the patrol vehicle was arrested and booked into jail for driving under the influence of alcohol.
There was no update on the condition of the police officer or the two passengers in the second vehicle.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
