Woman Killed in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on El Cajon Boulevard
San Diego, California (May 23, 2021) – A 69-year-old woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car in San Diego on Saturday night.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened in the 5000 block of El Cajon Boulevard at about 9 p.m. May 22, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was reportedly in an unmarked crosswalk when she was hit by the driver a 2017 Toyota Corolla.
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries including a fractured skull and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the involved vehicle was uninjured.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
