Strathmore, California (May 23, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a fatal car collision that happened Saturday morning at an intersection in Strathmore.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 11:45 a.m. at Avenue 196 and Road 216.
A white sedan collided with another car at the intersection under unclear circumstances. The sedan was blocking the roadway after the impact, and the other vehicle ended up in a nearby orchard. The driver of that car was possibly trapped inside.
The CHP report said one person was killed in the accident. It was not clear if there were any parties injured.
CHP is investigating the wreck to determine its cause.
