Los Molinos, California (May 23, 2021) – Four people were injured, one of them seriously, in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday afternoon in Los Molinos, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The pileup transpired at around 1:35 p.m. on Highway 99 at 7th Avenue.

Authorities said at least three vehicles were involved in the crash. A service utility phone pole was also downed in the wreck.

One of the vehicles, a full-sized Ford Dually, went off the roadway after the impact.

One person was trapped inside their vehicle, as per the report.

Police officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the motorists.

The report said one person suffered major injuries and three others sustained minor injuries in the accident. The patients were offered medical aid at the scene, but it was not clear if they were all hospitalized.

CHP is collecting more information to establish the cause of the collision.
