1 Sustains Severe Injuries in Encinitas Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway near La Costa Avenue

Encinitas, California (May 22, 2021) – A motorcyclist suffered major injuries in a Friday evening collision that happened in Encinitas, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported just after 6:00 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway near La Costa Avenue.
Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports about the accident.
The responders found the rider with major injuries that were not considered life-threatening. An ambulance was requested to respond and transport the victim to the hospital.
