1 Killed, 1 Injured in Jurupa Valley Crash at Armstrong Road and Gail Drive
Jurupa Valley, California (May 16, 2021) – One person was killed and another was injured Saturday evening in a car crash at an intersection in Jurupa Valley, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
At around 6:37 p.m. Saturday, May 15, authorities responded to the area of Armstrong Road and Gail Drive to investigate the report of a traffic collision.
According to the authorities, a white 2015 Toyota Corolla was heading southbound on Armstrong Road at a high rate of speed when it T-boned a UPS truck that was making a left from Gail Drive onto Armstrong Road.
Deadly Car Crash at Armstrong Road and Gail Drive in Jurupa Valley
The driver of the Corolla was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the UPS truck was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is undetermined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
