Francisco Roman Killed in Fresno Accident near Illinois Avenue and Diana Street
Fresno, California (May 10, 2021) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a train in Downtown Fresno on Friday morning has been identified as Francisco Medina Roman, 40, according to police.
The crash occurred at around 3:00 a.m. May 7, near Illinois Avenue and Diana Street.
Police said Roman was on the tracks when he was hit by a BNSF train. It’s unclear why Roman was on the tracks.

Authorities said Roman died in the accident.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
