Major Injuries Sustained in Vallejo Car Crash on Interstate 80 near Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza
Vallejo, California (May 3, 2021) – At least one person was seriously injured after a traffic crash that happened Sunday evening in Vallejo, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred just after 7 p.m. on westbound Interstate 80, just east of the Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza off-ramp.
A red truck and another vehicle were involved in the collision, the report said.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found one person with severe injuries. An ambulance was requested to take the victim to the hospital.
The Nos. 2, 3 and 4 lanes remained blocked following the accident.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
