53-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Ramona Crash on Third Street at D Street

Ramona, California (May 1, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday afternoon traffic accident that left a motorcyclist seriously injured in Ramona.
The major injury accident occurred at about 2:00 p.m., on April 30, on Third Street at D Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding southbound on Third Street when he collided with an oncoming 2017 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla made a left turn directly in the path of a 2013 Triumph two-wheeler at D Street.
The motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the sedan and was ejected onto the roadway.
Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Third Street
The rider was seriously injured and was taken to Palomar Medical Center for treatment.
The 17-year-old girl behind the wheel of the Toyota, also a Ramona resident, was uninjured.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
