Lindsay Epstein Injured in Pacific Beach Hit-and-Run Crash on Ingraham Street

San Diego, California (April 29, 2021) – The bicyclist who was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle last week on Monday night in Pacific Beach has been identified as Lindsay Epstein, 39.
The accident occurred just after 10:20 p.m. Monday, April 19, on Ingraham Street near Fortuna Avenue, south of Grand Avenue.
Authorities said Epstein was riding a bicycle southbound on Ingraham Street when, for unknown reasons, she was rear-ended by a dark, four-door SUV.
Epstein, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the bike upon the impact.
Epstein suffered life-threatening injuries, including a fractured skull and a “major brain bleed,” and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The involved driver did not stop to render aid to Epstein and fled the area. The suspect was last spotted heading southbound on Ingraham Street. The suspect’s car has front-end damage.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
