San Jose, California (April 28, 2021) – 33-year-old Ricardo Cendejas, of San Jose, has been identified as the man who was struck and killed by an alleged hit-and-run driver, 40-year-old Amber Daphnee Chavez, earlier this month in San Jose.
The deadly crash took place at around 4:57 p.m., on April 8, in the 1100 block of South First Street.
The manner in which the collision occurred in the evening hours was not immediately established at the time of the report.

Cendejas died at the hospital on April 16 while undergoing treatment for life-threatening injuries.
