Salinas, California (April 27, 2021) – A woman sustained major injuries following a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday morning in Salinas.

A white van and a red GMC SUV crashed on Reservation Road near Garrison Drive at approximately 11:50 a.m. on April 27.

Although the California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how the crash occurred in the morning hours, a woman riding in the SUV was pinned in the car and had to be rescued by firefighters.

Meanwhile, the female party was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained in the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
