Fresno, California (April 27, 2021) – A man died after being struck by a vehicle in central Fresno on Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened in the area of Willow and Olive Avenues at about 11 p.m. April 26.

A man using a walker was crossing the street when he was hit by a car.

The man sustained major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. Sadly, he died while undergoing treatment.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The police said drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
