24-Year-Old Man Killed in Fairfield Crash on Highway 12 near Beck Avenue

Fairfield, California (April 24, 2021) – A 24-year-old man from Vallejo was killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday evening in Fairfield, authorities said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 5:30 p.m., on eastbound Highway 12, west of Beck Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 35-year-old Vallejo man was headed eastbound on the highway in a Dodge truck when he failed to stop for traffic ahead.
Unfortunately, the 35-year-old Vallejo man rear-ended a Chevrolet Camaro with the 24-year-old as its lone occupant, the officials said.
Following the collision, the Camaro then crashed into two other vehicles, while the Dodge also hit two other vehicles before coming to a stop.
Man Killed in Highway 12 Crash
Sadly, the 24-year-old man from Vallejo sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The driver of the Dodge was not injured in the collision.
The drivers of the other four vehicles involved all reported minor injuries, the CHP said.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
