Bodega Bay, CA: 2 Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 1
2 Injured in Bodega Bay Collision on Highway 1 near The Tides Wharf Restaurant and Bar
Bodega Bay, California (April 24, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident that happened Friday night in Bodega Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at about 9:08 p.m. on Highway 1 near The Tides Wharf Restaurant and Bar.
Reportedly, a pickup truck hit another vehicle under unclear circumstances. The force sent the vehicle into the Bodega Harbor waters.
Two parties got out of the vehicle but were still in the water and injured.
REDCOM firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the patients. The firefighters could not tell how far the vehicle was inside the water.
The two injured parties were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The report said the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene after the collision.
Towing services were requested to help remove the vehicle from the water.
CHP is investigating the collision.
