Apple Valley, California (April 23, 2021) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the driver who died Thursday night following a two-car accident in Apple Valley as Gerardo Mendoza, 26, of Barstow.
The deadly crash happened at around 9:26 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at the intersection of Dale Evans Parkway and Stoddard Wells Road.
The authorities said two vehicles collided for unknown reasons at the Apple Valley intersection.
Mendoza, who was one of the drivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
