Bakersfield, California (April 20, 2021) – A juvenile was hurt after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver in Bakersfield Saturday night.

The pedestrian accident took place shortly after 7:15 p.m. in the 126 block of Ross Street near Virginia Elementary School.

The California Highway Patrol did not establish how the collision occurred on April 17.

Meanwhile, paramedics responded to the crash site and attended to the victim who was hurt in the wreck.

The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to locate the involved motorist who fled the scene without rendering aid to the patient.
