Burlingame, California (April 20, 2021) – At least one person suffered severe injuries in a two-vehicle collision that happened early Tuesday morning in Burlingame, the California Highway Patrol reported.

As per the CHP, the incident was reported at around 4:34 a.m. on southbound Highway 101, just south of the Broadway on-ramp.

A red Honda Passport collided with a PT Cruiser under unclear circumstances. One of the vehicles overturned onto its roof after the impact, blocking traffic lanes.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one person sustained severe injuries in the accident. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital.

The collision left the Nos. 3, 4 and 5 lanes blocked for an unknown duration.

CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
