Corona, CA: Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 91 Freeway
At Least 1 Person Killed in Corona Pedestrian Crash on 91 Freeway near Main Street
Corona, California (April 17, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday evening traffic accident that killed at least one person and left another injured in Corona.
The deadly accident involving a pedestrian transpired at about 5:53 p.m. on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway west of Main Street.
A witness told the California Highway Patrol that a red Ford minivan was driven recklessly before the crash and that a pedestrian was down in the fast lane.
A white sedan, blue minivan, blue SUV, orange pickup and silver minivan were stopped at the scene, but it was unclear which, if any, were involved in the crash.
Two parties were hospitalized following the collision and at least one person sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
