At Least 1 Suffers Major Injuries in Berkeley Crash on 80 Freeway near University Avenue Off-Ramp

Berkeley, California (April 15, 2021) – At least one person sustained major injuries in a traffic collision that happened early Thursday morning in Berkeley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 1:39 a.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, just west of University Avenue off-ramp.
A Ford F-450 pickup truck with an attenuator in the bed collided with another vehicle blocking some traffic lanes.
At least one person was seriously injured in the accident. Paramedics responded to the scene to help the victim.
The report did not mention the cause and manner of the accident.
An investigation into the crash is in progress.
