Pedestrian Killed in Long Beach Accident at Pacific Coast Highway and Cherry Avenue

Long Beach, California (April 12, 2021) – A pedestrian accident that happened early Saturday morning in Long Beach left a male party dead, according to a report by the Long Beach police.
Officials responded to the deadly crash site around 1:20 a.m., April 10, at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Cherry Avenue.
The pedestrian was walking northbound across PCH against a red light when he was struck by a westbound 2009 Honda Civic.
The car was reportedly traveling through the intersection on a green light when it struck the victim in a crosswalk.
Fatal Long Beach Crash Saturday Morning
The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died.
Meanwhile, the involved motorist, a 20-year-old Anaheim man, stopped at the crash site and cooperated with the law enforcers.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
