Reade Childres ID’d as Man Killed in Leimert Park Moped Crash on Crenshaw Boulevard near Westmont Avenue

Leimert Park, California (April 10, 2021) – Reade Torrance Childres has been identified as the man who was killed in a Friday afternoon hit-and-run moped accident in Leimert Park, Los Angeles, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 2:35 p.m., on April 9, along Crenshaw Boulevard near Westmont Avenue.
According to the police, a black Ford Flex was headed southbound on Crenshaw Boulevard when the driver struck the back of a moped operated by Childres.
As a result of the crash impact, Childres was reportedly ejected onto the roadway.

Sadly, Childres sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police. The police are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identity, arrest and conviction of the hit-and-run driver.
