Roman Lugoaceves ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Dumont Dunes Off-Road Vehicle Crash
Dumont Dunes, California (April 4, 2021) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by an off-road vehicle in the Dumont Dunes Recreation Area as Roman Jose Lugoaceves, 47, of Long Beach.
At about 12:36 p.m. Saturday, April 3, authorities responded to the Dumont Dunes Recreation Area for a report of a pedestrian hit by an off-road vehicle.
The officers arrived at the location and declared Lugoaceves dead at the scene at 1:40 p.m.
Further details regarding the collision were not immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
