2 Officers Injured in Riverside Car Crash on Van Buren Boulevard
Riverside, California (March 29, 2021) – Two Southern California police officers were injured in a collision involving a suspected drunk driver in Riverside last week Wednesday.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Van Buren Boulevard at an unspecified time.
A suspected drunk is reported to have struck multiple cars in a McDonald’s drive-thru lane before driving south on Van Buren where she collided head-on with a police patrol vehicle.
The officers were transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The suspect, identified only as a 36-year-old Riverside woman, was arrested and charged with DUI and assault.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
